We recommend the beautiful Riviera dei Fiori Coastal Park Bike Path, which for about 30 km runs along the coast from Imperia to Ospedaletti
It is one of the longest in Europe with a path usable by pedestrians and cyclists in both directions of travel. The bicycle path originates on the former single-track coastal route of the old Genoa-Ventimiglia railway line.
The bicycle path is entirely paved, equipped with road markings and vertical signs, surveillance system and distress call. The railway tunnels have been recovered and equipped with lighting. Two bike lanes have been made side by side with a pedestrian lane. Scenic rest stops have been made in some of the openings, and some stations and old connected buildings have been converted into rest stops.
Also directly on the route are rental gazebos that allow you to rent a bike by the hour, half or full day at affordable rates, even for children.
A unique bike path, which in some sections brings you actually in contact with the sea (during high wind and stormy days it becomes in fact difficult to ride), and crosses areas that were once inaccessible due to the railway line that effectively cut the sea and land in two.
